GET TO KNOW…. Brenda!

This Formula 1 fan has been working at NIFA for almost 2 years. She would like to introduce herself.

‘From a young age I have always had a passion for numbers. This is one of the reasons why I did a study in Business Economics. After working in accounting for almost eight years, I chose to temporarily stop working in order to take care of my four children.’

‘This was also a good time for me to think about whether I wanted to continue in accounting or if I might prefer to do something completely different. When the children were a little older, I started working again. Blood creeps where it cannot go and I ended up back in accounting. Since March 2022 I have been working at NIFA and am responsible for the financial department.’

 ‘Of course, I am not doing this alone, together with my colleague Annemie I take care of the daily accounting. I also deal with our ISO certification, the RI&E and prepare various financial reports. I am particularly responsible for the evaluation of the financial data (monthly reports) and associated deadlines. When all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place, I am very happy!’

‘In my profession I need challenges and I like responsibility. At NIFA I am allowed to work independently, which gives me a lot of satisfaction. Apart from that, I have very nice colleagues. Everyone is equal at NIFA and there is always room for a good conversation.’

Brenda has been following Formula One since she was 16 years old. Besides watching sports, she enjoys to play tennis on a weekly basis and likes going for walks. Furthermore, she also likes to have fun with friends and family.
