Research & Development (R&D)
Since 1981 the IMV includes the department R&D, a department that continually anticipates on the latest techniques and initiates new applications. The R&D team, consisting of veterinarians, chemists and scientific researchers, are being supported by the Nat. Institute for Agronomic Research (INRA) and many universities. The goals R&D sets at work are about:
- The manufacturing of organic products in order to protect animal and human cells
- The development of devices that can be used for the evaluation, packing, cryopreservation and storage of sperm, embryo’s and organic samples
- The manufacturing of disposable plastic consumer products
Our specialism
We are specialised in cryogenic techniques, including the programmed freezing, identification and storage of, for example, sperm, embryo’s, vaccines, DNA, bone marrow and blood products.
Our products
Our supply programme also includes lab equipment, such as a breeding and drying stove, dosing devices, microscopes etc.
Our customers
Amongst our customers are artificial insemination-stations, veterinarians, corporations, academic hospitals and high-ranking laboratories. Our customers use our devices for work in the field of Artificial Insemination and Embryo Transplantation.
