Registration open: 'Problem mares' Wetlabs course
On 18 and 19 October 2025, NIFA is sponsoring Wetlabs in Zagreb, Croatia, focusing on fertility problems in mares. Preparations are almost complete and registration is open.

The course is designed for veterinarians who want to deepen their knowledge and skills in the diagnosis and treatment of fertility problems in mares. Topics covered include flushing the uterus, taking swabs, performing cytology and biopsies, using video endoscopy, and interpreting microbiological and other diagnostic results. The course is delivered by an international team of renowned experts:
- Dr Christine Aurich (Austria)
- Dr Nikica Babić (Croatia)
- Dr Pat McCue (United States, Colorado State University)
The course consists of a combination of morning lectures and practical sessions in the afternoon. Veterinarians from all over Europe are welcome to attend! Our colleague Corine Sikkema and IMV colleague Daniele Zavattarelli will also attend.
More info on the course and registration will be sent by Corine sending an e-mail.
