Former director Dirk Postma is officially retired, but he is still occasionally called in for projects and consultancy – something he continues to do with great conviction. Chris Spence, living in Yorkshire (UK), has been strengthening our team for the past five months as a Global Key Account Manager. Last week, our colleague Linda had the opportunity to travel to beautiful Scotland for the 'Sheep Scanning Training' organised by Duncan and David Kennedy. Meet Fabrice, our go-to expert for everything regarding ultrasound/imaging from our parent company, IMV Technologies! With nearly 20 years of experience, he supports distributors like NIFA. Fabrice knows the IMV Imaging products inside and out. He is excited to introduce himself because he is practically a member of our team - he visits our customers to provide hands-on training to our staff.

In November 2023, Guillaume Domain launched his company Optimize Freezing GDO near Brussels, Belgium. Though still in the startup phase, the company is already operational. Its focus is on providing customized freezing solutions of dog semen to enhance puppy breeding. Guillaume analyzes the specific needs of each dog to determine the optimal treatment and freezing process for achieving the highest quality semen. Customization is also a key aspect we cherish at NIFA!

We successfully completed the ISO 9001:2015 recertification last December. This means we are once again entitled to carry the ISO 9001:2015 certificate and comply with the "Quality Management System standard".

As NIFA we look back on a special year with many highlights. We have welcomed Antsje, Corine and Linda as new employees. Together with Nicolle Boonen we also picked up our marketing activities with our monthly newsletter which is well received.   

Many sow farmers want to know more and more early whether their sows are pregnant. A quick calculation tells us that a 5% improvement on a farm of 1.000 sows already saves €2.560,- after taking feed, labour and loss days into account.

On September 28 our Team Away Day took place in honor of NIFA Technologies' 75th anniversary. The entire team, including entourage, was welcomed to trotting circuit Victoriapark in Wolvega.

Team Nijhof in Geesteren has until recently been using the Domino printer, which required replacement. The IRIS printer, the newest straw printer from IMV caught their attention. We would like to share with you that the first IRIS printer has been installed at this company, which was a scoop!

Last July, Hans Jubbega had the opportunity to visit Poland with our respected IMV colleague Tatiana Pash (product specialist Swine). They visited GTC’s for own production as well as for internal use. Additionally, they met our distributor Insem.

On June 5, 6 and 7, veterinary students received ultrasound training from Maarten Pieterse (Retired University Head Lecturer). We provided the equipment (Easi-Scan GO).
